In modern contract manufacturing, setup time is often the „hidden“ cost trap. Manual tool and workpiece measurement can incur costs of up to several hundred euros per machine daily. To minimise this loss of time, pL LEHMANN offers integrated solutions for setup time optimisation. The interplay between the ripas system and modern zero-point clamping systems enables rapid manual or automated workpiece changes.
Economic calculations show that an investment in a zero-point clamping system for around 5,000 euros often pays for itself within a few months if it reduces setup and changeover times per shift by 30 to 60 minutes.
