In a volatile market environment, investing in rigid machine systems involves high risks. The combiFlex modular system from pL LEHMANN addresses this problem through consistent modularity. The system is based on four basic sizes (507, 510, 520, 530), covering a faceplate range from 100 mm to 500 mm. These basic units can be combined with various modules to create complex machining solutions, depending on the current order situation.
For example, a manufacturing company can start with a simple fourth axis (EA model) for machining shafts. If the company later receives orders for complex geometries, the same axis can be expanded with a pivot bearing and another rotary unit to form a fully-fledged T model (two-axis CNC rotary table) for 5-axis machining. This expandability ensures that the user does not have to invest in a completely new rotary table but can continue to use existing hardware.
The quickFlex accessory programme, combined with the VOLEX workpiece clamping system, offers a variety of standard–Options such as hydraulic or pneumatic clamping, counter-bearings for long workpieces, and spindle adapters for various clamping devices from Erowa, Schunk, or Lang (and many others). This universal compatibility allows SMEs to seamlessly integrate their existing clamping technology infrastructure while benefiting from the Swiss precision of pL LEHMANN axes. And this using standard off-the-shelf components and without costly custom engineering.
